Lacrosse game Action Photos
Lacrosse game Action Photos for the Girls JV Lacrosse game played at CCHS on Friday April 26, won by the CCHS team 15-4 and the Boys Freshmen Lacrosse game on Monday, April 29 won by Lincoln Sudbury in Overtime.
I am in the process of looking through the over 300 Lacrosse game action photos from each game, and picking out the best photos. As always, I only select some images for my website. All photos are available for purchase as prints with digital copies available ONLY with the purchase of 5 or more prints (digital photos will be the same as the prints).
The art of correcting photos to look good both by print and on the computer takes time and patients and can not be done in a short period of time for a large collection of photos. This is especially true when if comes to action sports photos. There are many factors that you are looking for in a photos that do not always present themselves.
Boys Freshmen Lacrosse vs Lincoln-Sudbury April 29, 2013
Today, I got another chance to improve my photography skills at shooting action photos of Lacrosse. This was a boys freshmen game and it is just a little different than the boys games. I am not sure on all the differences, but the big one is that the boys where pads and full helmets where the girls do not have any pads and only goggles.
I need to finish looking over the photos from both this game and the girls game that I photographed on Friday, as I was busy working this past weekend, and did not have the energy to do much but lay on the couch and watch tv in the evening… This is typical me. I am going to work on these photos and choose the best images to post on the site.
Any parent who is like the photos but does not see any of their player, please e-mail me with the following information: Player name, number, team (freshmen girls lacrosse…), position (important for baseball and softball… a little for Lacrosse): Contact Photographer
Girls JV Lacrosse vs Boston Latin April 26, 2013
On a cold Friday afternoon late in April of the Spring Girls Lacrosse season, in a home game against Boston Latin, became my first attempt at photographing the action of Girls Lacrosse, in addition to seeing a game played. Today I learned a lot about other places to stand while photographing. The sideline is a good place to get the players running from one side of the field to the other and getting some side and face photos. I believe that locating myself behind the net or on one side of the net, beyond the end of the playing field would also be a place to take photos from.
The final score was 15-4 CCHS with the win
Photos to come in the next few days.
Spring Sports CCHS 2013
Spring Sports CCHS 2013, for me has finally come. A day free from any other obligation, to do some portfolio photography work and to add another sport to my ever growing collection, it is time to learn how to photograph Lacrosse. This is a Boys Freshmen game, so that will make things a little simpler. The pace might not be as fast as say the Varsity team might be. I would not know, I went to one Lacrosse game in College, and that was before I had my nice camera.
I will try and post photos within the next few days, although I am working so not sure if I will get to the photos this weekend or not.

Concord-Carlisle Spring Sports
I am going to make the effort to attendant as many games as possible. I highly encourage anyone thinking purchasing photos this spring to contact me ahead of time, so plans can be made to photography your athlete in the heat of the action.
I will try and post the dates and game I will be attending a week or more in advance. This however does not guarantee that I will be at the game for the entire time. I have the tendency to go to multiple game on any given day.
Some photos from each sport will be shown online. All photos will not be posted. Anyone wishing to purchase prints, should contact me directly, and inquire or request photographs to be taken at a game this spring. Make sure when contacting me that you give as much detail as you can, including team, team level (ex. freshmen softball, or boys JV lacrosse), position (especially important in baseball and softball for getting fielding shots in addition to batting), and player number (very, very critical for me to have this as it is the only way I have to identify your student athlete; this is very important, that I must have in order to complete any requests or when searching through my photo archives.
