CCHS girls JV basketball Dec 28, 2012
The CCHS Girls JV Basketball team of Dec. 28, 2012 pulled out and flat out ran over the Lexington High School team 62-29. This game from the beginning was in complete control of the CCHS JV squad from the first quarter to the final minute of the game. There was no doubt in my mind that the JV team was better in running the offense and defense alike.

The CCHS freshmen girls Basketball dec 21, 2012 team, fraught for the Win 46-28, against Lexington High School, but in the end, there was nothing to stop them from this run away victory.

In the first game of the season for the CCHS Varsity Boys Basketball team. The team learned how game can be won, or lost. Unfortunately this game ended in a loss. As a photographer, who know the game, and as an observant fan. I can tell you how this game was lost.
The CCHS Varsity Boys Basketball team team failed to control the three point shooting of the Westford Academy team. They also failed to capitalizing opportunities at the Free Throw line, including 2 missed free throws within the last 2 minutes of the game. My hope is for the CCHS Boys Basketball team to learned from the mistakes in this game.
Despite not playing organized basketball or ever really wanting to do so in my year in High School and College, I know from playing and participating in other sports: You have to seize the opportunity to score points when your handed that opportunity on a silver pater. When you do not, you will end up losing a game that you hand a handle on then entire time. I am very disappointed, this game was unsuccessful is so many ways.

In the early action of the winter sports season the, CCHS Boys JV Basketball played Westford Academy. Despite all the effort and for all the times that the CCHS Boys JV Basketball team lead in the game, they went down with the a loss, due to a buzzer beating 3-pointer. Photos

In the first game of the new season for the CCHS Boys Freshmen Basketball team, working hard and being competitive was the least of the teams problems. This game was domed from the beginning, as withing the first 6 minutes of the game, the team was already in trouble with causing too many “false” fouls. I think that many that watched this game from the sidelines and the Coaches themselves would tell you the same thing. The refs for this game were calling fouls left and right against this very aggressive CCHS Boys Freshmen Basketball. Not to hold anything against anyone or to say that being aggressive is at all a bad thing. I would have to say that you have to be aggressive in a good way and to only do it when you might get the foul in your favor.
To sum up: CCHS Boys Freshmen Basketball game was good and competitive but ended in a loss.
